But Gaza IS destroyed. And you have repeatedly used the expression hamapalestinains, inferring they are one and the same, ergo everyone, ergo whats wrong with his statement ?

the moment the war is over Bibi and his entire camp are likely headed to jail, the last thing they want is an end to this war. even if Hamas surrendered (not claiming they ever would) he'd have likely called it a trick and kept on bombing and displacing.

I agree that it appears that Israel / Net and Yahoo's government is drawing out this war as long as possible, be that for any reason which could include prolonging the suffering of Palestinians, a hope to rescue as many still remaining hostages as possible, or prolong a state of war for N&Y's self preservation.

If this is true, Hamas could stick it to him by fully surrendering and releasing the hostages, as to end hostilities. Then Israel would be forced to rev up the war with Iran again. Israel could also deny that Hamas is surrending, but if they're able to get that message out to the media Israel would be in even deeper shit. I still think Israel has the power to end the war very quickly but they're refusing to do so, using the hostages as their justification, which does atleast have some credibility.
