or just tackle explaining the bolded. that's the best case there is, expecting someone to have a picture of an earth that they theorize they can't take because its in their mind impossible to travel to the height that it would take to take such a picture isnt. I mean i agree with you, but asking for a picture seems silly when he "believes" space travel is potentially impossible.

Ball toss inside a moving car does nothing because its a closed environment, ball toss outside a moving car is subject to the force of the air its traveling though.

Is the earth a closed environment - not according to sun worshipers.
Is the earth actually traveling at half the speed of light according to the big bang "theory" in a cloud of air with earths gravity sucking in that air and water- according to sun worshipers - yes!

Working with polling data is an incredibly small part of what I do for a living, so I appreciate the laugh on that big swing and miss, but fortunately you don't have to be tied to the field of measuring public opinion to understand really basic concepts of that practice that could fit nicely into either the "do" or "don't" column. The people who are conducting those polls that people can't get enough of aren't just taking the opinions of the first 400 people who pick up the phone. Because they know better.

Oh I fully acknowledge it was a moronic post made in jest, but the person who I originally responded to doesn't know that; he's probably never even clicked this subforum before and would have no way of knowing. I'd rather give his legitimate question further detail than waste time on the troll's post that adds nothing even remotely valuable. If that detail gets added via me having to talk "through" the troll then that's fine with me.
