Gender Studies is generally nonsense. Within History you can study gender politics though I think. But it's not my Bag. Focusing on the Medieval and Early Early Modern periods.

I could be wrong here... but don't we already register guns, need licences, and the like?

I don't own a gun, but from what I understand i'd need to provide documentation and undergo a background check if I walk into my local cabelas and try and buy a rifle or handgun.

There's no federal registry for guns, and you don't need any sort of licence to buy an AR-15. If you buy from a gun store you have to pass a background check, but in many states you can sell your guns privately.

The point is not that all gun regulations are the exact same as truck regulations.
Its that no one calls for more truck control or car control when people drive them through crowds, because that would be fucking ridiculous.
