the most mind-blowing thing is that they accuse trump of showing no sympathy for the victims, not offering his condolences, while they themselves also always offer minimalistic condolences. after islamic terrorist attacks, they clearly prioritize condemnig the "islamophobic" reaction and warning against a general suspicion over condemnig islamistic terror itself or showing sympathy for the victims.

What if the attacker wasnt really a loser? More facts might come in that the guy who planted the bomb on a subway car crowded with people was actually an upstanding person deserving of respect. Wouldnt Trump have egg on his face and look like such a fool?

It makes sense to remind people to not hold people responsible who are not involved in a crime.

Somebody might blame their Muslim neighbor for some bad persons actions.

lets be honest here: trump IS always very quick at condemning islamistic terror attacks which take place abroad, while he takes a lot longer to say something about left- or right-wing terrorism perpetrated by americans in america.

imho, the risk for this to happen would be a lot lower if we were having open and honest debates about the connection between islam and islamism, and take the appropriate steps.

in any case, defending muslims and reiterating that islam and islamism have nothing to do with each other and that we shouldnt talk about this issue should not be the priority when political leaders react to an attack by muslims on non-muslims.

He condemned the violence in charlottesville before the car ramming attack even occurred, then immediately condemned that too after. One of his tweets was almost simultaneous, before the news broke

The whole thing they got their knickers in a twist about was how long before he singled out and blamed white supremacists only, despite all the violence from both sides that day

it's so funny how all the shills who totally bought trump's (obvious bs) excuse (for not condemning white supremacists) that he rather waits until "all the facts are on the table" now defend his uninformed and immediate twitter rant, berating scotland yard...

just to be clear (anticipating the usual intellectually lazy ad hominems from the cultists accusing anyone who disagrees with their supreme leader of sympathising with terrorists) - ofc terrorists are "losers" and scum (all of them, no matter the religion, skin colour, nationality...), but you have to be extremely naive not to see the double standard here...
