It will force them to develop an alternative payments system which will not be connected to the west.

However, something like 1/3rd of payments for raw materials -which come from Russia - go through SWIFT. Entirely cutting off the west's economy from Russia will have dire consequences for American and European citizens, not just Russians.

What you need to understand is that it is a self-conflagrating move. This will cause social unrest in western society that could have the potential to make the BLM riots look like a picnic in comparison.

Freedom isn't easy, and hard times make for hard men. At least for USA, we are rich in natural resources and industrial potential, its just blocked by bureaucracy and wallstreet outsourcing. . Messing with finance is the largest and last stick the USA has next to nukes in our military leverage box.

They've been working on an alternative to swift for awhile already. I'm quite sure Russia has already considered the risk of such an event.

I have no regrets. Ukraine had every opportunity to settle this diplomatically without forcing Putin to resort to force.

They killed thousands of people, all while the US and NATO and the so-called "United Europe" cried pathetic crocodile tears about Russian aggression. But they did nothing to reign in Ukraine's aggression towards the thousands of people they murdered.

Yeah, I'm not happy that Russia was forced to invade and put the entire world in the most dangerous and destabilizing position that it has been in since the Cuban missile crisis. Actually, this might be even worse because now every economy, everywhere, not just Russia's is going to get completely fucked.

That doesn't mean that the US, NATO, and Europe aren't all a bunch of gigantic fucking hypocrites responsible for creating this mess in Ukraine in the first place, though.

I won't apologize just because Russia is finally doing what they had to do, and clean-up Ukraine from the Neo-Nazi filth and ideology that had spread through it like a cancerous tumor.

In the end, a De-Nazify'd Ukraine is better for the whole planet. It's also better for the average Ukrainian, whom will no longer have to live in fear of the armed militant radicals kicking in their doors.
