I do not see what breaking levels of obesity have to do with a fringe group being a fringe group. As far as I know, they mostly seem to exist only in your imagination or as .jpg-pictures from who knows where.

To quote you from your previous post - "with the fat acceptance culture we now live in". I'd imagine that they'd have already gained support if it's a fat acceptance culture that we're living in.

Regardless, what's at the root of this obsession of yours?

The root of the obsession is pure narcissism. In his perception, following a diet and working out is an easy thing to do. Anyone with a different perception is inferior.

Because he has found a group that he collectively sees as inferior, he can easily bash them to compensate for his own lack of self esteem. That's a common trait of narcissists: by lowering others to your level, you raise yourself to their level, relatively speaking.

That's all there is to it.

A reality show about one woman with PCOS exists for people to gawk at her like a freak show, it's pretty obvious that fat acceptance has gone too far

nonsense, the show is supposed to be inspirational from what i've read of the media coverage

nonsense, all i'm saying is that it's easy to not eat like a hippo every day and the excuses people make for their gluttony should be treated as just that, excuses

this isn't even about being fat in itself but rather the lies people tell themselves like they're fat but they don't overeat and we're supposed to coddle them and tell them it'll be ok instead of giving them what they need which is some tough love

You've narrowed down your real point. Very good.

Can you show us why you think that it's easy to not eat like a hippo every day? Other than your own personal perception of what is easy and what isn't, what grounds to you have for making this statement?

you must spread your food along the whole day
you must eat satiable food
you must not eat 'just calories' (but valuable nutrients)
even tiny amounts of sugar or unhealthy oil or fat ruin the whole day

and remember that water has no calories! drink it for famine

there are thousands of weight loss stories by morbidly obese folks and they all did it first and foremost through changing what they eat - what's stopping the rest of them - besides a society with people like you telling them it's too hard so they shouldn't try?

There are also thousands of stories of people who have a much harder time.

Anecdotes aren't proof.

weight loss and food addiction are some of the hardest things to conquer

unlike drugs or alcohol you can't just stop eating altogether

it's an addiction with something that you still have to use daily, that is extremely difficult

ignorant and hateful people like you in society make that incredibly harder than it already is

it's proof that anyone can lose weight is it not? the reason people are having hard time is because of a society that tells them it's impossible to lose weight and if they're fat it's because of genetics or medical conditions and there is nothing they can do about it

doing 1 thing to be fit will get you fatter.
doing 3-4-5 things to be fit will keep you the same. most people who are fit do this. they did it all their lives, since they were young. they never had to lose fat.
to lose fat, you need to do more than 10 things to be fit
