is it compassion when you take someone else's money by force and spend it on another?
real compassion is choice through voluntary action, not virtual signaling saying you want the government to force people to pay. If you point a gun at someone and tell them to pray to jesus is it real prayer?
Move to the woods in Alaska and you can keep your money in your back pack and make a stop in town every now and then otherwise this point really has no merit. The government clearly is going to collect taxes that is determined either through issue voting or by the representatives you elect and the IRS. If you live in society , you only have the illusion that it's "your" money. Just like you have the illusion of property rights. If the government doesn't allow property rights , property technically is just owned by whoever has the means to maintain the force to maintain that land. All that has happened currently is the force has been collectively managed.
