Before I posted about an odd observation, that Yahoo's articles are all heavily bot voted with "neutral" as the chosen option. invalidating any legitimate "like" or "dislike" choices.

it now appears that yahoo is under siege by some right wing group, be it bots or actual users (a combo i believe). yahoo has historically had a HARD left bias, near huffpost levels in original content and much of their content is just an onramp to huppost itself. the users have always trended far left.

scroll down to the comment section, every post in the top range is pro-trump anti yahoo posts. they use a system where posts that are upvoted are raised to the top. so it appears that the same bots that are bombarding the ratings system are also being used to upvote right winged posts. look at the vote totals. something like 600+ and 200- on right winged posts. which i take to mean 200 people and 600 bot votes.

consider me officially a conspiracy theorist on this one folks.

doing a white out of left leaning media isnt their only theoretical goal. its just the only place i've seen it thusfar. as it has a ratings system on yahoo and other right wing platforms i look at dont have the same type.

what does making 70%+ of articles rated as "neutral" do? confuse people. it also screws with yahoos algorithms. they have their site set up to raise or lower articles based on those ratings, thats a reason its such an echo chamber. additionally far left comments are usually at the top.

i dont think its a targeted attack on yahoo persay, i think its just a tactic to confuse people, and its hitting yahoo hard.

russia is just my suspect #1, i wouldnt be surprised at all if it was a 400 lb kid. afterall all their doing is employing some system of IP hack bot which has thousands of pre-generated user accounts to influence the system more than the pool of users.
