Truly though, what are we defining as 'run', if you mean enforce law and order then that is the job of the governments, wahtever the laws may be... If you are talking about money then that isn't one entity or person there is new money that has influence like Elon Musk (stale example) and even more quietly with old money like Saudi/Rochesters controlling the oil market. The most plausible scenario is that there are different cultures and the world is so big that one single body cannot and simply does not control the entire world. Humans are still trying to show who owns the most land and who has the most money and with the internet it really becomes a lot harder to hide things especially old internet like 2001-2007 era internet.. anyway if you go to school and learn how commerce works and economics it becomes easier to understand how and why the world works... Even more importantly how insanely amazing democracy is and what it has done in such a short period of time (current western form democracy) and also you learn how fucking fragile the world is literally held up by nothing. sticks and stones would be better.. the world is held up by pure fucking luck to be honest. How is it people follow laws so much? If that didnt happen then we would be completely fucked and no one aint running nothin so we are doin pretty good either way
