You’re ignoring the reality on the ground. Journalists operating under Hamas control can’t report freely there’s a long, documented history of intimidation, censorship, and staged narratives. We’ve seen in past conflicts how foreign reporters self-censor or outright spread falsehoods, only to admit the truth much later after the damage to Israel’s reputation is already done. So no, letting international journalists in during an active war zone controlled by a terror organization isn’t about hiding a genocide it’s about not handing propaganda tools to the enemy in real time. When Hamas is gone, open reporting will be possible. Until then, it’s not a risk any responsible government would take.

It's impossible to ignore what the reality is, which is Israel and people supporting them are committing a genocide in front of our very eyes, and if the free press was allowed in this would be undisputed to such an extend that even the US would denounce the atrocities that Israel is committing. That's reality.

Israelis now support genocide to a larger extend than the germans did just post ww 2. That's reality.

IDF is targeting civilians and children. That's reality.

If journalists aren’t allowed in and everything you claim is based on what you’re “seeing with your eyes,” maybe ask yourself whose eyes you’re actually seeing through because parroting propaganda from a terror group while demanding proof you admit doesn’t exist isn’t just dishonest, it’s embarrassing.

If this report is accurate, someone will and should be held accountable. But the fact that you only ever look for what’s wrong with Israel, while ignoring Hamas’s deliberate crimes and exploitation of civilians, shows clear bias. Real concern for human life means holding both sides to account, not weaponizing tragedies selectively

I also suggest you read the article not just the headline and you’ll see this isn’t official policy. The officer quoted is speaking out because he wants to expose wrongdoing and fix it. That’s the opposite of institutional brutality. Haaretz framed it for shock value, but the substance shows a military trying to confront its own flaws, not endorse them - its not government policy

I'm not fully familiar with the Israeli media landscape, but isn't Haaretz the mouthpiece of Israel's left/liberals and basically the Israeli equivalent to the New York Times in America or the Guardian in Britain?
From what I can tell as a foreign voyeur, Haaretz is aligned with Israel's appeasenik faction.

discredit the source. I understand. This is very common nowadays.

Israel is the most moral country in the world, with the most moral army, it does not target civilians. Well, there are no civilians in Gaza we have been told. Instead Gaza is full of HamaPalastinians apparently. Lets just look the other way when ambulances are repeatedly attacked, then buried, along with their occupants. oh crap, there was a video of that attack? drat! The IDF does not target civilians, and even if they did its just a few bad apples, and only 400 people Palastinians have been shot and killed near the aid stations in the last month, they are barbarians so they dont constitute being called civilians. And besides your source is Haaretz an ultra far left wing of Israel with Radical ideas like "dont kill civilians".

And as for Dresden bombing Tehran in the hour after a ceasefire was agreed? well Donald Trump was just making that up, besides Iran does not have civilians either, apparently.

The simple fact is if TheTimesOfIsrael wanted to debunk the story they would have done their own investigation. They have not, because they know its true. The best way in this day and age to debunk a story, is to not write it.

What an increadibly dishonest post. Reminds me of an angry old german user who used to post here. Coincidentally was also extremely antisemitic

do you even know what the word antisemitic means ? Please refrain from unfounded personal attacks. You may wish to read both the Iran topic and the Israel topic to educate yourself. The issue is Israel is attacking Gaza, Iran and of course whatever you want to call whats happening in the west bank. No one is complaining about a religion, they are complaining about a governments policies.

I guess certain people really dont like Haaretz as a news source.

Here is a metaphor:
