There definitely were pressures to not criticize and smash bernie if she wanted to appeal to more democrats/bernie fans/millennials and go into the GE with the narrative that more government = good.
HRC had to walk a tight line. She had to convince the DNC voters that while Bernie's ideas weren't bad they were not likely to be accomplished and may cause regression. She had to convince people that Bernie was an outsider who couldn't work with congress while also walking another tight line with her relationships with Paul Ryan. Enough to convince people she could get things done without playing into the swamp narrative too much. I think a lot of simplistic people (not you) took this as her bashing socialism while hypocritically offering socialism-lite, I disagree she was the far more pragmatic of the two and by all means an Obama term repeat.
