I don't know about that.
The main difference is the white person is going to be an economic target for the poor (this would hold true even if it were an obviously well-off white person in a poverty stricken white neighborhood), whereas the black person in the white neighborhood will undoubtedly have the cops called on him, and the cops murder black people to get paid vacations all the time.
So it's a matter of dealing wth the locals vs dealing with the cops. I rather deal with human beings than rabid animals. So I'd take my chances in the hood rather than with the cops.
