the brits have (understandably) trouble to find positions they can negotiate on behalf of a majority, so they end up suggesting 'solutions' the EU can't possibly accept- and they know that, they're just pretending to the british public so they can claim they tried.
it's on the brits to propose realistic and acceptable terms to prevent a no-deal, but they can't because the referendum was so close and there is no real political majority supporting leave with all its consequences. also, they wasted plenty of precious time to even enter the negotiations with specific targets, so blaming the EU now is somewhat amusing. political theatre...

what are those British suggestions that the EU cannot possibly accept?

EU much less to lose from a no deal than Britain. If it comes down to the wire they will be able to get massive concessions from Britain.

When you initiate negotiations with a power several times your size this is what you should expect.

but those massive concessions that you and others (who want to see the EU turning Brexit into a cautionary tale) are hoping for are politically not feasible at all in a country where a solid 40+% are still Leavers who hate the EU.

learn to read: no one said DOING something is hysteria and bigotry - but it's not like you are actually doing anything apart from repeating right wing propaganda terms like 'invasion', 'murder', 'scum', and 'animals'... i'm wondering, where have i heard that kind of talk lately?

people who attack others with flamethrowers and acid are animals, are scum.
what you call "right wing propaganda" is nothing but a to the point assessment of the real situation.

It's being presented here by some of my media that it was like having the cake and eating it. Represented in your media as well..

"no, there is no chance, either the single market or the customs partnership"

The EU has much less to lose, but still a lot to lose. The 2nd largest economy in the EU going through WTO would not only crush our £240bn exports, but the £320bn of EU exports to the UK, which is heavily weighted towards Germany and France. Even businesses moving their HQ's to mainland europe with cities like Paris and Frankfurt benefiting, it'd be a tiny consolation when compared to the loss of frictionless trade with the UK market.

Chequers set out the government's position on Brexit - if the EU disagrees with parts of it they need to propose alternatives, like we have done when disagreements have arisen. We want free trade with the EU without being beholden to an open border policy with EU countries. That's what the people wanted and that is what the White paper sets out to do.

Interesting graph here. It's not nominal figures but the net of imports/exports with each country.

they have to import so much gas/oil so imo its not suprising

9 of the top 10 oil power stations in the world are japanese and 8 of the top 12 gas stations

Brexit from the beginning had been kind of like communism. Good "if done correctly".

I doubt you have 40% support for Brexit under actual circumstance. Those are the "if done correctly" voters.
