republicans use "personal responsibilty" to push their agenda as much as democrats use "victim of the circumstances/injustice/discrimination" to push theirs.

both sides have become toxic and unwilling to look for the best possible course of action. the only thing they're both trying to accomplish is pushing their agenda, no matter if it fits the issue at hand or not.
