violence and infringements by cops are a bad thing and must be prosecuted. no one ever denied that.

this has nothing to do with the fact that cops approach certain groups with more caution than others because of bad experiences with those groups or because those groups are massively overrepresented in crime statistics.

cops are there to keep people and themselves safe, being unprejudiced is not their job. fairness and treating everyone equal is the job of attorneys and courts, not that of cops.
