The truth is that the best thing Biden could do to tackle inflation is a policy of "drill baby drill". Coincidentally, it would also be the most effective way of waging economic war against Putin - driving down world market prices for oil and gas would dry up his war chest. It would also soothe market concerns about an energy crunch and thus inspire more consumer and investor confidence.
Biden could clear the channels for mining while also tackling the 'green' agenda. Mining byproduct can be used to achieve net negative carbon from the operation. Obviously oil is a quick counter to inflation, but need to establish base for domestic industry again.
