when people point out that without the mother's nutrients the baby dies and seek to define "life" as a being not reliant on pumped in nutrients from another, pro lifers seeks to use a coma patient on a feeding tube as a "counter example". as if pro choice people are anything but willing to also call that person not really alive. there's also the chance that a coma patient recovers, and when recovery is impossible people can ethically pull the cord and let them die.
perhaps pro life people would be ok with a mother not aborting a child, but simply having a doctor remove it and cut the cord. then if it lives, it lives. im sure a clump of 500 cells will do just fine on a cold operating table.
