Russia is currently preparing for a renewed offensive into Ukraine in a few short days. Thousands of young men are going to die on both sides, almost every single one of them apolitical, and fighting for their country because their leaders tell them they need to. Can this be avoided? Can the fighting be stopped with diplomacy? Can there be an agreement where Russia annexes Crimea and a substantial land bridge to it, and Ukraine joins NATO, preparing all out war if Russia were to ever encroach further? Would this stop the killing?

We will never know because the ignorant, rotten to the core animal psychopaths who blindly support the military industrial complex, blindly support uni-party politics, feel good about themselves. They support corrupt politicians because they are told to, they tell themselves war is a marvel movie and they're the good guys. The don't know anything about pipelines, petrodollars, trade agreements, Syria and they don't want to. They say "Ukraine good Russia bad" and truly believe they are some noble creatures.

Meanwhile thousands have died, thousands more are going to die. The ignorant masses pretend they are watching an avengers movie and scream for more.

Winners write history, so history might not judge you. But if God exists, when you meet him, I'm sure he'll ask why you cheered for death.

Yes but those are small minorities compared to the much larger group of ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea.

Also, the majority of people in the countries that you mentioned would definitely not be happy under Russian administration.
