The problem with this take is it's comparing revenues during the height of the pandemic when everything was on lockdown, with governments actually enforcing travel bans, not allowing you to leave your home aside for necessities versus a time when we're coming out of the lockdowns. Obviously revenue will rebound tremendously when your reference comparison point is one of very low demand.

A more appropriate comparison would be compare revenue from 2019 to now, then adjust for price inflation.

The problem is not corporate revenue, the problem is that capex has plummeted in the last 10 years because the western world has shunned hydrocarbons. You can't have it both ways, don't cry that oil companies aren't investing in drilling and exploring when simultaneously mainstream society has been forcing them into that position.
