Let's just say that I have never heard anyone non-ironically suggesting that crime causes poverty significantly more than vice versa, and if you think there's mathematics that prove this then I'll preemptively say that these mathematics are off.
Poor whites commit less crime than poor blacks or hispanics with the same income. Because of that, the median income is higher in the first population.
The only blatantly consistent cause of crime is single motherhood/lack of a father.
Life is extremely simple to understand if you don't assume neurotic motives to everything.
