Rolling out a political policy in response to the science is the next logical step to me. Back to what I was saying: gov't interest is in sustaining a population - you're worth more dead than alive. This goes for anything science related being tied to political interests: vaccines, climate change, stem cell research, whatever.

So no, I don't agree with the latter part of your sentence of coming to people and politics.

Would you agree that scientific data can be used to drive political policy?

If I get a job offer sometime that is a giant raise with relocation benefits I'll move, but until then I have a good job at a prestigious institution that pays the bills, and the cost of living is really low so that's also a benefit.
