You are because PVM and trading are fundamentally linked. You only played for 3 years so you probably don't even know what hexes, wrings, etc. are. I was able to get an entire inventory full of hexes along with wgloves, wrings, etc. That can ONLY be done with trading. The joke is on me though, I spent dozens of hours per week for almost a decade whereas it sounds like you had more of a life. Congrats.

Don't pretend you found an El rune as level 1 and skillfully traded your way up without leveling your chars and trading the gear you found from your leveling runs.

It was definitely lacking.

I think a lot of us have nostalgic memories in that trade window, but easily forget how groundbreaking having a D2 crypto currency was.

No I didn't. I grinded out for months until I got on JSP. This notion that the drop system was broken because you couldn't 'fund' by purely MF is nonsense though. If I had to put an fg amount on it, the shit I mfed would of probably yielded less than 5k fg meanwhile the wealth generated from trading on jsp was 10x that easily.

Again it doesn't matter if it's 3 or 10 years, you're missing a fundamental element of the ecosystem if you think magic finding was the way to do it.
