Well, then I shall respond with:
Incorrect, the employees i hired were paid for their time i set everything up and packed it up when the job was over, i actually lost money by hiring people when i could do the job myself, i value time over money.
- I'm sorry, but losing money on a business venture is not conducive to someone who claims to own a $750,000 home and is also a self-professed millionaire than can afford a $5 million home on the Jersey Shore. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to let you off that easily if we are going to continue real debate. It's one or the other.
My numbers are my business, i do not do charity work to brag about it or to look good to the community.
- Well, then don't make any comments about mine. I am not ashamed to admit what I do, nor am I ashamed to admit that Capitalism is the reason that I can afford it.
- In fact, the truth is when Trump's tax cuts went into effect a few years ago, my donations increased 400% (which in all honesty was about $30 but, again, I am not a millionaire. This is a great example of how using percentages to prove a point is a total fallacy, though).
I chose to live here because my wifes 96 year old ww2 veteran grandfather lived here and she wanted to be close to him, we will be moving soon as he passed last year.
- Well, thank you to her grandfather for his service. His deeds will always be appreciated and held in high regard as any other vet's should be (my great grandfather was a WW2 vet who received a purple heart too).
- So you're telling me, though, that you're going to just up and move when owning a $750,000 house? I would be highly doubtful it will be that easy to find a buyer for the equivalent of $577,500 in USD. I can tell you for a fact that this is more than double the average cost of a house in a Capitalist country where the government does not control a worker's wages.
Ever also think that the places with the best jobs also have more expensive housing?
- I live in one. I don't pay a mortgage equivalent to a $750,000 house though. I'm not sure here - please clarify.
So maybe there is a lot less choice in these matters than you think.
- Please clarify - choice is a very confusing statement when your finances basically give you choice of the entire world, no?
I am not comparing the rich to the rich, i am comparing comfortable wealth to society destroying excess, its NOT THE SAME THING
- You live in excess based on salary and claimed affordability (liquid assets available to buy a $5 million home). Why is your excess less of an offense than anyone else's?
- Also, making something size 42 font does not further one's point. Please, let's stick to thoughtful debate.
/edit - what is "K2"? Also - again, being a millionaire, you're not part of any ant hill. Virtue signaling from an ivory tower is more what it sounds like if we are being honest. And that's not an insult - that's just truth as you are a millionaire and far above the masses on the societal ladder.
I still made profit, i made a lot less than i would have if i simply did the work myself, $50 an hour less per job, sometimes i would have multiple going at the same time.
I never commented on your donations at all.
I could literally sell my house within 10 minutes, its the capital city of australia and a house on a 900 square metre block..
I would have it sold as quick as a lawyer could get the paperwork out.
I do not pay a mortgage i own all of my properties outright.
I do not live in excess, i live comfortably without having to work, i have stated this many times you keep pretending not to read it.
k2 is the most dangerous mountain in the world, and yes compared to a bezos or gates a millionaire is an anthill or less.
I used a system i disagree with to get myself to the point where i no longer have to participate in that system.
The billionaires BUILT the system to exploit and rob the masses to fund excess that benefits no one.
