... and due to the age stratification of covid risk, his number of 0.008% is probably roughly correct for people below the age of 40 or so.

But that's just a distraction anyway, the true threat posed by covid is not its lethality, it is the potential to overwhelm the healthcare system.

- "people" is everyone for the few i know.
- 0.17% is the result after restrictions, without any kind of restrictions (and collapsed healthcare) we could get a straight 1-2%. Wich is millions people.
- Once again: crippled ones: alot of people not dead but sick for months (or more!) with a great variety of serious issues, yet some are even unknow.
- More sick people also increase risks of jackpot mutation.

the "if you dont die its not a problem worth tracking" mentality is pretty fucking dumb. hospital clogging, large hospital bills, lost work time, and general health issues lingering are a serious concern. people dont die from shingles, that doesnt mean its no big deal.
