yuck you're on my tablet.
my original comparison to trump and a shit stain in my underwear stands. and if u think that = no harm u havent heard my wife roast me for the occasional racing stripe.
say imagine again tho lol
imagine being an occasional pants shitter, but saying "yuck" to someone in control of their sphincter...
anyway, it's stupid analogy, as trump's presidency should be an easy eye opener for any rational thinking person, demonstrating that the system you trust so much is in desperate need of some major changes. your so called 'checks and balances' are completely toothless, trumpublicans clearly exposed that:
- a president withholding congressionally sanctioned aid to an ally at war in order to gain dirt on a domestic political opponent? no problem.
- a president deploying unaccountable goon squads against american citizens that oppose his politics? so what?
- a president defying science and experts during a global pandemic, deliberately withholding aid from states that politically oppose him? no consequences whatsoever.
- a president making a mockery of the judiciary, filling it's highest courts with activist judges loyal to him, and appointing an AG who acts as his personal lawyer? go right ahead
- a president ignoring all advisors and unilaterally cancelling international agreements, single-handedly maneuvering his nation to the brink of a major war, just to spite his predecessor? who cares?
- a president defying a bipartisan congress majority for months, to spare a hostile nation, that demonstrably meddled with american elections in his favour, of economic sanctions? system works like intended...
and then we still have the previously mentioned issues, the general undermining of trust in democratic principles, the fourth estate, the nepotism and corruption... i know you would never critically think about something you said before, let alone admit you were wrong, but that is not a system i would trust in the future...
