Trump has all but decided to withdraw from Iran nuclear deal: sources

Trump could refuse to renew the waivers but give new U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo time to negotiate more with the Europeans, exploiting the deal’s dispute resolution mechanism or the time before the most draconian sanctions take effect.
Several sources familiar with the negotiations said that if Trump pulls out, a question for the Europeans will be whether this would be the start of a much harder U.S. line toward Iran, including military confrontation.

“The Europeans are not keen to be dragged into a regional conflict by the U.S.,” said one source familiar with the talks.
Two U.S. intelligence officials said they were particularly concerned about Iranian retaliation in harder-to-trace actions such as cyber attacks on the United States or its allies and attacks on soft targets by people without obvious ties to Tehran.

Such attacks are considered more likely than actions that might trigger a U.S. military response against Iranian nuclear and military targets.

Guess Trump doesn't actually want to make a deal with Korea, because pulling out with Iran more or less just means we can't be trusted to keep to our agreements.

I don't agree with that. The deal with Iran was stupid. The watchdog orgs were only allowed certain rights in Iran, and the ballistic missile thing has to be dealt with.
No one needs ICBMs for defense from their immediate neighbors. That's just plain BS.

From what I've read it seems that Trump just wants a better agreement, which, if Iran isn't trying to pull anything, shouldn't be an issue.

Tbh, I'm too lazy to look it up again. I posted it when this all first started, like a year ago.
It was something along the lines of half of the reports of the watchdogs were done by Iran, not by the watchdogs orgs. Like yeah, we promise we're not doing such and such.

We have the right to inspect whenever we want. I've yet to see anybody actually give a right in the deal we should have that we don't already. Usually, it is somebody quoting Trump saying they have the right to self-inspect when they don't.
