Also, even if they did, our vetting process is the best in the world so we would be highly unlikely to get those people anyway.

Yeah, OK, not only did the WTC attack happen to us...our vetting system actually allowed them in the country, and then allowed them to be trained as pilots. Good system.

Then why aren't you protesting the fact that the WTC pilots were from a country NOT on the ban list?

The entire thing made no sense to start with. Why did he single out those places and not others like Saudi? Completely stupid. I hope it fucks off to never return. Not to mention when was the last time we had an attack here? Is it really that much of a risk? No, its not. The end.

Pretty simple really. All of the countries listed are in the middle of civil wars so the governments there aren't really functioning.

If you had even the most basic information you would know you just argued against the efficacy of the ban.

I feel so much better that the US is in the future hands of ppl who see the world through rose colored glasses, yet don't know they're wearing them. :/

/e In your defense though, I don't think there HAS been a generation of 20-somethings, that didn't think they knew everything.

Something that is consistently overlooked. Sometimes i wonder do people understand that aside from Iran, all of those countries are active conflict zones. Not only that... but literally all of those countries have at least one warring party which identifies as Islamic fundamentalists that views the United States as enemy number one. Three months to make sure we have the proper vetting is just being responsible in my opinion.

Alright no need to play the "reported" game because somebody disagrees with you and your butt hurt. Come up with a cool witty reply and burn them with it.

I keep seeing the argument that none of the terror attacks in the US would have been prevented by this travel ban. How about all the ones that have occurred in Europe in the last couple of years? France, Belgium, and Germany come to mind. ISIS has openly stated they are trying to infiltrate the refugee population. They've also changed the playbook from being primary a military entity and are now trying to entrap vulnerable people on the internet, indoctrinate and radicalize them and have them hit soft targets in whatever western country they live in. They really don't care about local laws against weapons, they're fine with members running people over with cars, building pressure cooker bombs, going after kids with kitchen knives, or shooting people if guns are available.

Getting a vetting system in place is crucial for national security followed by beefing up DHS as well as international law enforcement, tracking down the ones running the radical websites, and shutting them down as well as keeping tabs on the people that frequent the sites and post extremest stuff on social media.
