God doesn't make disasters happen, just as he doesn't stop them. What Gd does is give the Christian strength and hope to work through the disaster, he gives comfort and love. Once again part of free will is that he will not stop that tornado. He will be there for you to lean on in pain, or rejoice with in safety.
