And I'm saying that in my case. It hasn't.

And I'm very happy for you, however I am thinking on a larger scale than your personal case.

And I also believe millions, like myself, are unaffected and better off cause of it.

Spanking consequences are lot worse than i tough when i see who admit being a victim of it in this thread

Here's what I'd like to know: how is it that so much literature on corporal punishment says it's "bad" for kids when everyone will tell you kids are worse people these days than they used to be?



I was spanked as a child. I deserved it. My most poignant memory of being spanked isn't of some trauma, it was how very bad I felt that I had put my mother in the position of having given herself a blister on her hand administering discipline.

Positive reinforcement, premack principle, shaping, chaining, advanced behavioral techniques that can be employed by parents that are 50x more effective than unspecific punishment that isn't immediate, and have no "blowback"

Because dumb geezers always think "kids these days" are worse when this and the last generation are about about 20x better than the baby boomers (and Gen X for that matter).
