the reason we (as taxpayers) don't directly pay for the roads to the Company is simple -
can you image if everyday you came home from work and there were 7000 new bills in your mail from companies that did civil work that you had to pay?

It would take you the next day just to open them and figure out what you had to pay
but you couldn't , cause you'd have 7000 new bills...

also every company would need to hire 10000000 staff to mail out 300 million bills a day

accounting derp....

Yeah. A lot of those bills WOULDN'T get paid. Darn it, all those extra munnies in ma pockhets.

Rest is just all the stupid shit pulled straight from your ass.

Corporations are people, my friend.

I am totally fine with this, only they aren't criminally accountable as people are, and don't pay taxes as people do.

So what is it?

Well, how do you put a corporation in jail? And they DO pay taxes.

Their tax code is entirely different and you know it. Comparing corporation taxes to individual taxes is dishonest. Not being able to logically jail a corporation is reason enough that they aren't people.

They're taxed on their income like you and I are. If they don't break even, they don't have income. Are you suggesting we tax them on revenue?

They get fined. And IIRC, there's a trial going on right now about criminal liability of a CEO for the actions of the corporation he runs. (Something about peanut butter and poisoning.)

Holding a COE criminally accountable is not holding the corporation accountable and you know that. Also:

Income isn't profit. I don't get out of taxes just because I spent it all.
