ummmm wat lol? ampoo is generally sometime hysterical, seems like this situation you're agreeing with him entirely then kneejerking into a strawman based on historical interactions between you too.

if you so desperately need to interfere with our discussion, at least do the basic work of actually reading the posts leading up to this point. the parts you quoted from poo boy are not the ones i have a problem with - as you correctly pointed out i very much agree with them. what i disagree with is his INVASION hysteria and his dismissive generalisations and bigotry towards EVERYONE trying to flee from africa in particular.

seriously, for someone pretending so hard not to care, you seem pretty eager to find something to disagree with. i bet you're not even embarrassed by not being able to figure out the blatantly obvious point of disagreement...

i said directly you likely had issues with his statements in your historical interactions, which is a less wordy way of saying what you just said without the weird references to me being desperate and such.

i guess i'm not sure tho how "invasion" doesn't apply to violent acts on a border in an attempt to enter a country illegally. even if you think it's overplayed it's certainly a valid synonym for whatever PC nomenclature your softened ears prefer. sorry to invade your conversation, and even more sorry for risking triggering you by using that word. a big thanks for letting me know i'm correct tho, baby steps.

after reading your posts for a while i'm starting to think just about every word in america means something different.

keep up the kneejerkery tho, every time you devolve into the person you're talking to being "triggered", "embarrassed", etc then vaguely claim they're employing "gymnastics" you can't describe its a pretty clear signal you're operating on reflex. you're a wordy chap, when you devolve into nonspecifics its transparent. i referenced your issues being with ampoo's wordage generally, you confirmed, then said i didn't understand what was going on. i made a pretty clear argument that your issue with the verbage is due to PC concerns, you didn't even bother to counter, good move. i didn't bother with ampoo's general racism towards afrians because its common knowledge, but if it helps you sleep through your next missed job interview you wouldn't have gotten anyways, you were correct. we could disagree about his racism being general hyperbole to rile you up on a consistent basis, but why waste time. you dont believe in hyperbole because your brain cant process it in textual form.

calming down and relativizing things is not a reasonable reaction when our border guards get attacked with flamethrowers and acid, and saying that an incident like this should serve as a wake-up call does not constitute "hysteria" or "bigotry" either.

and before you resort to the lazy 'yUo JusT DOnT gEt HypERbOle' pivot, let's remind ourselves where this is coming from: someone who constantly freaks out about 'cultural wars', 'countries under attack', and 'invasions'... you DO know what kind of countries ACTUALLY get invaded all the time, right? your emperor is already preparing you for the next one in case you haven't realised yet.
if you seriously think the term 'invasion' is more appropriate than 'hysteria' in this discussion, you clearly have no interest in discussing facts as opposed to narratives...

hey man, people using flame throwers and acid on border guards to break into a country isn't an invasion, because reasons. Didn't you know, that the definition of a word varies depending on how Fender feels about their posting history? /s

this is all a big twist of irony in fact, Fender overstates all sorts of subjects to the point where he devalues their terminology. and yet he's generally met with people evaluating whether his hyperbole (a think he ironically discounts in others) is is semantically valid or not. In this situation, driven by a past of discounting Ampoo's hyperbole he's discounting the present where his statement (which has been overstated historically) is now valid. funny that years of hyperbole without the general statistics to back the hysteria has created a kneejerk reflex in fender which will prevent him from acknowledging that it's clearly getting worse. he's so used to lazily referencing issues with methodology that he can't rectify the present. this is a game changer, and the devolving state generally is a game changer, but he's stuck in level 1.
