Well they haven't seen the movie...not sure what they're protesting...as for rebel battle flags...we've experienced Southern Feudalism before and found it to be something to be eradicated.

Well, I guess the confederate flag should go. But I was seriously pissed about the statues. Like what's next? Mt. Rushmore needs to come down?
I really don't agree with the statue thing.

It'd be like tearing down the pyramids cause they used slave labor to build them. I think there's a point where we just have to say, enough is enough, let's not destroy all our history.

People should be able to fly that flag, like they should be able to a Nazi banner, on private property or in their living rooms of rented property or whatever.

The statues and flags came up in the 1960's to fight integration and the civil rights movement. If they were actually historical I would sympathize more. But I respect your opinion on the matter. I think the highest authority should be the individuals from the town and what they think about the statues. My opinion is just opinion and I would hate to see a group of armed people act upon that.

A grade school in Staten Island, New York was forced to cancel its annual father-daughter dance because it violated a new school district policy regarding transgender and gender nonconforming student.

The New York Department of Education directed schools to eliminate any gender-based practices like the daddy-daughter dance unless the activities served a clear education purpose, the New York Post first reported.

Dismantling the patriarchy, one father-daughter dance at a time.

It's a creepy concept to begin with, right up there with pledging that you won't lose your virginity until your father says you can.

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/plus-size-model-alexandra-thomas-fat-shamed-dermatologist-im-not-just-weight-165801530.html

plus sized model (read: literally makes money for being fat) upset (read: baiting clicks to her instagram) someone (read: medical profession she came to to assess her health) to her to talk to someone else about losing weight.

then she cries that people "bring up her weight constantly, and thats NOT OK".

listen folks, im all for body positivity or whatever because i like big titties and not deflated foot ball looking titties. but this is dumb. this porker literally makes money for being fat and showing that she's fat, she has a vested interest in being unhealthy and convincing others its OK to be like her. her doctor would be doing a bad job if he didnt inform her about her weight issue on literally every visit. Now ask yourself, what would this woman "doing a bad job" constitute? Losing weight. if she lost weight and stopped posting photos of her belly hanging out from a crop top she's lose her livelihood.

this woman isn't brave, she's profiteering off of a movement, and given the chance to back it up she discredits the movement she rode to get clicks on her social for cash.

I can see the Republicans wanting to tear down Rushmore. It symbolizes and end to the old conservative political order with the creation of a liberal democratic republic, the creation of a national park system and promotion of environmental conservation, and the abolition of slavery and beginning phases of an end to sociopolitical racial oppression. Mt. Rushmore symbolizes everything Republicans hate.

MONTGOMERY, AL—In an update Wednesday to its Hatewatch blog, the Southern Poverty Law Center announced the newest addition to its authoritative list of hate groups: the Southern Poverty Law Center.

“We have identified an organization with a clear history of rank intolerance toward faith communities based solely upon their sincerely held religious convictions,” the statement reads. “This organization has encouraged ostracism and threats toward people, politicians, and businesses that do not adhere to its rigid progressive agenda. It has existed and operated right under our noses for years. It is known as the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).”

The statement continued, “Now that we have identified our very own organization as a hate group and added the SPLC to the ‘Extremist Files’ section of our website, we will oppose ourselves and our radical agenda with vigor, and we will slander and boycott any person or group that associates with us or cites our intolerant, anti-Christian, identity-politics-driven list of so-called ‘hate groups.’ We will also be opening new litigation against ourselves for defamation, libel, and human rights violations.”

After the announcement, major media outlets accepted the SPLC’s new distinction without question, but immediately ran into a catch-22—how to malign the newly-anointed hate group without citing the newly-anointed hate group.

At publishing time, the press was still unsure how to deal with the paradox.
