Every right-winger on this forum will vote for Trump in 2024 because he'll be the nominee. There's no person who could defeat him in a Republican primary. And they'll completely forget the seditious acts because Biden wants to acknowledge minority rights or something.

The problem is not simply Trump, it's the whole movement. They are authoritarians who don't believe in democracy, and anyone who does believe in democracy should vote against them.

Nope. They aren't Russians, or sympathetic to Russians. They aren't Chinese. They don't overtly hold some foreign ideology contrary to America. They think of themselves as American patriots who are combatting the American liberal enemies who will destroy the country.

That's what they believe. The sedition they espouse comes from a place where they believe they are overthrowing the United States government in order to preserve it. Anyone committed to preserving our democracy needs to recognize that.

I think people that are capable of putting this into words like this need to ask themselves, does american democracy deserve preservation?

Nah. Theres way more bad than good in the US at this point. And it was that way before trump and it SURE as hell is that way now. The world is better off without it. If America was an experiment, it was over during the industrial revolution.
