Yea, in most cases the original theories are flawed. But he is the father of modern social sciences like economics.

It would be pretend to think that labor isn't important in establishing value. Everything from the scarcity of the commodity to the cost of retrieving it is considered.

But the first theories in most disciplines have problems, correct.

The main theory is dialectical materialism. And it is spot on.
