It's not bad for being one of the first economic theories ever made. Marx turned the art of political-economy into sciences of sociology, economics, and political science. He is as imports t as Adam Smith as far as the birth of economics as a unique discipline.

It would be pretend to think that labor isn't important in establishing value. Everything from the scarcity of the commodity to the cost of retrieving it is considered.

But the first theories in most disciplines have problems, correct.

Bloodletting was pretty cutting-edge at the time too.

Bloodletting killed far less people than Communism, though.
