There were a bunch of scuffles underway and normally I'd close in with a friend just to see how people think but had the feeling someone was going to brandish a knife that night......

You will see a stabbing or shooting in Chicago tomorrow people. You couldn't pay me to go downtown tomorrow...there's shootings every weekend but fireworks bout to pop.

The biggest surprise for me about this whole ordeal is not how evil and hate-filled Hamas is(that's runner up, I had no idea the extent of their evil), but rather how potent the antisemitism on the far-left is. My default position is to sort of ignore the far-left idiocy because it's not embraced by the most powerful Democrats, but it's truly shocking how so many leftist groups have basically come out in favor of murdering Jews, whether they be soldiers, civilians, or infants. They express solidarity with Hamas by incorporating hand gliders in their images, a reference to Hamas gliding into an outdoor music concert in Israel to rape, kidnap, and murder people.

I'm seriously glad we have a Democrat as president who put aside the political differences he has with the Israeli president and has, at least so far, been unequivocally supportive of Israel and their response to this terror. We can contrast Biden's response with Trump's despicable(and evil) comments recently about Hezbollah, Netanyahu, and Israel.

Unfortunately a lot of leftists just default to "america bad and everybody associated with america bad". A lot of those leftists groups are also wanting Ukraine to just give up their territory to Russia. And they also never took the time to learn that Hamas =/= Palestine.

It's not them being anti-semitic, it's them being american-diabolists and generally uninformed about the state of affairs.

I've said it before, trust people when they tell you who they are. The Ukrainians who with SS tattoos and black sun flags, the Democrats and BLM/Socialist/etc groups that openly champion Hamas. Real nazis wave swastikas, cryptonazis don't exist, and people's criticisms or political objectives opposed to yours don't turn everyone you disagree with into a Nazi. The folks who ally themselves with Nazis? Well there's an old saying about X people sitting down at a table.

Joe Biden has done nothing wrong so far in his handling of this crisis and if anything its shocking how he actually woke up from being asleep at the wheel for his whole tenure to be hands on, apparently acutely aware how serious it is. And Trump has likewise done nothing wrong in criticizing the intelligence failures that absolutely deserve to be called out, and have been by pretty much everyone at this point. And the dumbest form of politics imaginable is the binary label word association game where everyone on one team has to be addressed only by muh positive labels and everyone on the opposition has to be addressed by only muh negative labels and god forbid anyone give even the slighest inkling of nuance about their opponent's capabilities and motivations. The anti-Americanism or anti-Westernism explains some of it, but not all, perhaps not even the majority. We're faced with Hamas doing incredibly horrific things to Jews in Israel and the response from leftist groups all around America and other Western countries is to hold Israel entirely responsible and to stand with the terrorists, so much so that they incorporate some of Hamas's tactics in their images. This animates the far-left much more than any of the more recent examples where they fall into the kneejerk anti-American/anti-Western stance. Jews being murdered really gets their blood flowing, and before this happened I didn't even think leftist antisemitism was worth talking about, because it never displayed itself so openly, and so consequentially.

Some day horseshoe theory is going to be a positive thing. But not this day.
