the unemployment rate can be deceiving. it can increase for bad reasons, i.e. people losing their jobs, but it can also increase because more people start looking for a job again who had given up on even trying during the recession.

the number of people on foodstamps and the number of hours worked are better measures for how well the economy and the job market are doing.

i'm struggling to find any reason whatsoever why trump jr. would release these e-mails on his own
like i know nyt was about to publish them and maybe he wanted to beat them to the punch
but if you are the punching bag, i think maybe you wouldn't want to punch first?
why am i still trying to make sense of anything
