Literally all ancient records are suspect. this is the basis of history education, primary, secondary, and tertiary sources, and their subsequent biases and motivations for those biases.

most people are surprised for example to find out we have zero, ZERO, primary sources for Alexander the Great. No person who ever saw him ever wrote an account.
