well anyone under 18 or retired doesnt pay income tax afaik

the debt clock makes no mention of how many people don't pay taxes

so can I assume you just made up that #?

And concerning that Graphic without any context , those numbers don't mean anything

it just a picture. Even if it had context - it would still be very unclear as to what its showing.



hes just saying "taxes" , not just income tax

also the debt clock says 154 million in work force - so maybe he thinks USA population is 154x3 = 450 million?

anyway - 18 trillion in Debt - like thats ever going to get paid off, lol.

actually, social security income is taxed. So is disability once you reach 65, iirc.

well.. it's added to your AGI and taxed the same as any other income, so..yes?

theres also property taxes, dividend taxes. sales tax, estate tax, gas tax, etc etc.

if 2/3rds of people are avoiding all taxes , i want some info on how they do that.

This is a federal election I am talking about, so it only makes mention of federal taxes..

37% of all people don't pay taxes. 50% of all people between the ages 15 and 65 do not pay taxes. (People younger than 15 make up 20% of the population, and people older than 65 make up 14%, some of which pay taxes of course.)

The point of the matter is that most Democrat support comes from people who contribute nothing to the federal government. As you can see from this (aforementioned) cnn graph:
