you're more than welcome to join the discussion and post any proof or idea if you have, but if your comments are limited to ones of personal attack, i'm already pretty sure you have completely nothing of any value
Not really a fan of indoctrination as much as you. Let me ask you a question, did you ever see the movie A few good men - yeah it's fiction but movies and book have themes which are implied - not plainly discussed. So where Tom Cruise has an actual general on the witness stand and Jack Nicklaus says that most awesome line "You can't handle the truth", what truth is it can you not handle or accept? Why dont you think about that one ok?

on occasions, people dont shitpost, expecting that is a bit extreme i guess

If you had any ability to read, you'd know that I agree on this 100%. I've said before (in a different thread) that people who blindly believe in science are just as pathetic as people who blindly believe in a religion.

However, this does not mean that you simply have to reject all proof when you see it. And that's what you are doing. There is tons of proof in the thread I mentioned, and you reject all of it with ridiculous, false counterarguments. So yeah, I know what I'm talking about.

Except one is the pursuit of truth and the other is resignation to convenience.

Well if you had any ability to read , you'd know that i reject about 90% of religion as man made dogmatic crap, while the only part of science i disagree with is the mythematics of astro science, which considering all of science - is really a small part of it, but basically 100% unquestionable to those fully indoctrinated so most of that thread is just complete shitposting back and forth, but that's the prefered method of "communication" here. But if some people have a completely skew B+W vision of reality, what exactly is wrong with expanding their truth? Are you you saying that any change in their thoughts are completely hopeless?

i don't understand this need people feel to treat things that are clearly not equivalent as if they are over some misguided sense of fairness

Neither is pursuit or resignation. Both are blind acceptance. The fact that one group of people accepts something that happens to be the truth doesn't change the fact that they're doing it blindly.

Sounds like you blindly found a reason to not accept people if they even have an inkling of difference from your own personal views.

Or maybe you assume I'm talking about people that I'm actually not talking about?

When someone defends scientific research because they've read the research with some scrutiny, then they're not being blind. I'm specifically talking about people who hear "science shows that X", have no idea what it's about, have no idea how to interpret the article, and then proceed to ridicule anyone who questions X and the validity of this scientific research. Yes, that is blindness in every sense of the word.
