more like atheist is full opposite from theist, while agnostic is somewhere in between.

atheist and agnostic have this in common: no faith

I think most theists are repressed agnostics. I mean they can't accept to be agnostic because it may lead them to hell. They prefer consider agnostic as atheist, it makes easier to pretend to be sure that God exist when the choice is yes or no, denying any questionnement.
