Based on what she's said I don't think she's been impartial. Trump has been a train wreck, she seems pretty objective.

Alan Dershowitz said today on the Laura Ingraham show that Ginsburg should recuse herself from any case that involves Trump personally, but that there's precedent for her participating in cases that involve the administration, even though she criticized him.

For people who don't follow the news closely, Dershowitz also said that even if Trump colluded with Russia it wouldn't necessarily be illegal, and even if Trump fired Comey because of the Russia investigation it wasn't illegal. He's not a partisan on legal issues.

i agree with dershowitz on those points. the thing where stuff starts to backfire for liberals is that the cause made by the appeal courts against trumps travel ban (which was stomped by the SCOTUS today ) was based on the personality, speeches and opinion of donald trump. the best defense liberals could come up with against the travel ban was to make things about trump as a person. and this should force ginsburg to recuse herself from this particular case, fair and square.

e: its always funny when social media and gutters like certain subreddits and subforums turn into bastions of legal, economic, business, and scientific authority whenever an event like this occurs. even though we know most of the reeeeeeeeee-ers never managed to quite enter into actual adulthood/workforce/get an education in these fields
