The ministry of truth's attempt to explain that away and stick to their guns is ridiculous too
"Because the ODNI said it, and the ODNI speaks for all agencies, we can say all 17 concluded it"
Except that the DNI said 13 did not reach that conclusion, and with the DNI on record that logic must be final right?
Also how can they back up the "17" figure if there's only 16 agencies + the ODNI, thus are counting the ODNI as just "one of the agencies" in the 17 figure
So that makes the figure implicitly meaningless, and any figure less than 17 would have to be paradoxical under their ridiculous interpretation
They're saying the ODNI is both one of the 17 as well as all of the 17.
Its like saying "There are 17 members of my family. But our family's father, who is in charge said we're getting pepperoni pizzas tonight. Therefore all 17 reached the decision to buy pepperoni pizza. Even though it was just the family's father and 3 kids, but he speaks for all of the 16. Who did not reach that decision. And he's just one of the 17, and so I'm counting him both as one of the 17 and also as all of the 17. And then oops when we asked dad about it, he said that only 3 of the kids actually decided on pepperoni and the other 13 people weren't involved"
And of course, in reality, the ODNI isn't even "1 of the 17" to begin with, there are only 16 intelligence agencies and the ODNI has no investigative capacity and simply coordinates them
