Unfortunately Democrats haven't realized that liberals don't want Republican-Lite.

They want fucking progressive and liberal, and the most popular politician in the country right now is incredibly liberal.

I'm kinda mad because Bernie actually still has a huge chance.

Hillary is still pulling strings behind the curtain, so I'm guessing Democrats are going to totally fuck themselves in 2020.

However, even with Dems shooting themselves in the foot, it's still going to be a hard race for Republicans.

they want a free society that provides fair chances to every hard-working, law-abiding citizen; they want a moderate amount of social security and wealth reallocation and some liberal values. but they want those things without moving the country into the direction of a "feminist, 63-gender, safe spaces everywhere, affirmative action on steroids, seize all guns, open borders, welfare and citizenship for every foreigner who sets a foot on american soil "-dystopia.

Just the other side of the stupid coin. There's a Republican in the White House because conservatives compromised and voted for a lifelong Democrat.

The best way to accomplish the progressive agenda would be to elect a moderate Democrat anyway. People too far either way on the spectrum don't have the political capital to compromise effectively.
