If we use the US precedence for declaring a Genocide, then Israel passed that threshold 6+ months ago. But All Palestinians Are Bad right?

I think the israeli's call them hams-palestinians or some such nonsense, a bit like how Russians are called Orc's, not sure if thats Orc with a C or Ork with a K, i remember watching a video addressing this spelling from Tolkien.
But yes, even the kids under 7 are all terrorists apparently - all 1.5 million of them in gaza born in the last 7 years (there is no ethnic cleansing in the west bank apparently, no displacement, so the population growth in Gaza is attributed solely to births in the last 7 years, all 1.5M of them, apparently.
Our resident stakeholders in the thread confirmed this when I challenged on this point previously. it boggles the mind but here we are.

As the genocide continues we are likely to see more and more of this:

The Guardian: "Australia splits with US to back UN resolution demanding end to Israel occupation of Palestinian territories. Vote marks a change to the nation’s official stance held for more than two decades"
BRIC's will also likely play a role in this I guess in undermining US influence. kinda self evident when 99% are on one side and 1% are on the other.

To be fair, the fact that this vote is had so regularly means its an open wound, never going away, never moving on, ever relevant, ever divisive and ever polarizing, ever a stain on the US.

It's a huge financial burden for the US citizens to subsidize Israel fighting (both defense and expansions) on 7 fronts as someone described here. Last I checked, if one distributed the aid among each Israel citizen last year alone, it amounts to $2k each. Beyond war chest payments, US gives annual payments.

The strategy of Israel is not sustainable, worst it may reduce future support which is indeed crucial for defense

I seem to recall when i made this observation the response in this thread was that Israel does not need the US.
I mean, its an irrelevant fantasy, noting that the US will not abandon Israel (even if the Israeli's think that).

My understanding after thinking about this is that for US to continue to dominate the world - it needs to prevent potential rivals from rising. US sees rivals in Europe (hence Monroe Doctrine and operation Gladio to ensure commies can’t unite Europe), Russia (hence funding and propagation of a multitude of neo nationalist states to be used as proxies), China (hence three layers of islands to stop Chinese from spreading outwards into the sea).

Rise of “Umayyad Caliphate” again in the form of a secular United Arab Republic is a problem first recognized by Kissinger who made everything in his power to scuttle it. Hence protection of Saudis vs Hashemites as well as unlimited support of Israel - who prevents United Arab Republic from rising by mere fact of its existence and hatred of its neighbours and inability to unite with them as Israel is an ethnic state of Israelis who cannot afford or don’t want to be dominated by Arab majority (who in turn hate Israelis). Israelis will not be able to challenge American hegemony any time soon hence they are not considered a threat. Arabs - can - especially if they would have united under secular leadership that found a solution to manage sectarian schisms.

If Middle East + North Africa unite again under “umayyad caliphate” like structure it will become a serious geopolitical rival to Americans and they can’t have it. Hence paying 2k$ a year tax is justified from American geopolitical rationale.

Or maybe I finally turned cuckoo and started seeing things and need to get scheduled for a mental checkup.

No, this is absolutely correct. The US made up a bunch of lies to justify destroying the emerging united secular Ba'athist state. To this day, they still propagate irrational hatred against Assad (one of the best guys in the middle east)

ensure that Pakistan remains a failed state, to be used as a prop to weaken India - https://theintercept.com/2023/08/09/imran-khan-pakistan-cypher-ukraine-russia/
lets not forget US interfering with Germany's international trade industry.

bless

to be honest you dont have to look beyond China. The US insistence on making China its enemy is at this point the greatest own goal of the century. although to be fair, US insistence on making Russia their enemy has to be right up there too.

The Middle East + North Africa (let's call it "the Arab World") has no noteworthy manufacturing (unlike China, Japan or Western Europe) and no noteworthy arms industry of its own (unlike the USSR/Russia). Aside from their oil, they have no basis for becoming a geopolitical rival.

Well, Egypt controls the Suez channel, which is a crucial bottleneck for trade between Asia and Europe or the US east coast. Which is imho also the reason why the US tacitly backed the military coup in 2013 which restored the status quo ante of a military dictatorship, once it became clear that the democratically elected Muslim Brotherhood was on its way to steer the country in an islamistic direction.

And what would be the reason for that? Ottomans were industrialized and were one of centers of 19th century economy. Hell I recently found out that Boris Johnson’s family hails from Turkey.

Arabs and Persians invented significant amount of technology that we use in the west to this day.

They are definitely not stupid and are able to organize themselves in functioning societies if left alone.

The Arab World, just like the rest of the non-Western world, got left in the dust once the industrial revolution and the age of science and invention really took off in the West. By the start of WW1, the Ottoman Empire was already decrepit and on its last legs.

Ottomans are not Arabs
The Arab world fell at the 13th century because or the Mongols invasions and the Turks (ottomans)
