All kidding aside, what exactly is wrong with the current reporting?

America's election systems are so decentralized that it's hard to imagine a situation where Russian hacking(into voting machines) could effectively change the outcome. That doesn't mean we shouldn't find out if they did hack into them... and the other hacking is a related but separate issue.

NYT/WaPo have some of the best reporting out there. I don't see any other news organizations consistently breaking relevant stories. That doesn't mean every single story is true, or that NYT people won't tweet out incorrect things at times.

From a journalistic point of view, they cover news selectively to pander to Carlos Slim's target audience. Their editorials are the worst of it, pure cancer - they recently blamed Sarah Palin for the recent Bernie Sanders mass murderer.

Why weren't they up Hillary's butthole about obstruction of justice last year when it was actually relevant?

No, they cover relevant news. If Obama revealed serious classified information in an Oval Office visit with the Russians, any serious media organization would love to report it. If Hillary had fired the FBI director 5 months in while her email investigation was still rolling, and then blamed the firing on her deputy AG, there'd be serious media criticism. There's no one pulling the strings, there's the predictable biases of any organization, like how Breitbart puts out Trump spin and NYT puts out center-left, establishment stuff along with any breaking stories that no one but the NYT/WaPo has touched.

So spicey got a "promotion"

He doesn't have an official title now.
He's still acting as the communications director because the previous one resigned and they never officially filled the position.
He just no longer has to do press briefings. This after the WH banned recording devices and cameras at press briefings for the last week or so.

White house: "We're promoting you, but you don't have a job title and you still have to do the same shit that you were doing previously, except now you don't need to hide in the bushes, you can just hide in your office."

Sounds like Spicer just got put in the basement with Milton.

NY Times and WaPo are more fair to Trump than any of the cable news networks. They have a lot of integrity.
