what newt meant was that the president cannot obstruct justice by carrying out his job, which ofc includes key appointments (and firings) to the agencies. clinton, by contrast, was in trouble because he lied under oath.

I'm starting to believe that maybe there wasn't any kind of explicit collusion between Russia and Trump.

Not because the investigation isn't turning up evidence, I wasn't expecting that for at least a year, but because Trump has turned out to be such a bumbling buffoon with no filter that I don't think he could have kept the secret this long.

that's probably a valid point
i think he's much more likely to run into problems
with Mueller looking into his business dealings and financials than anything else
any businessman of his stature probably has some shady deals on the books
and his mob connections are pretty well documented
maybe okay for a joe schmo tycoon
not so much for a president
but still, i think a lot of dominoes will fall, just not Trump

Investigating Russia's interference is real and possible prevention is real. It being a continues investigation from now is real.
Trump being happy with the help is real as well.

Making it political eye candy to see from afar.

But that's about as far as it goes.

I feel bad for my liberal family. They all have subscriptions on their phones to NYT and they think its America's gold standard.

If you look at NYT's operations, it isn't even a newspaper anymore. Their papers aren't even edited for typos anymore, let alone content.
