Republicans don't want small government. They want to be the only ones on welfare.

Big government without the handouts. Republican Party 2020.

Mimicking the Trump cabinet meeting from today.

I like how Trump is dragging everyone into the mud... Democratic senators dropping f-bombs and making troll videos now.

Speaking of cabinet meetings...

“Never has there been a president, with few exceptions — case of FDR, he had a major depression to handle — who has passed more legislation and who has done more things than what we’ve done,” Trump said during his first-ever Cabinet meeting at the White House.

But wait, he's been whining about how the democrats are obstructing everything he tries to do! One of these is not like the other, one of these doesn't belong. Can you tell which is not like the other? I bet he can't.

On the eve of republicans trying to silently push through a craptastic healthcare bill under everyone's noses(they said they won't release the text of the bill), (which has been dubbed Don.TCare) the senate rules committee claimed that reporters would no longer be allowed to film or record audio of interviews in the Senate side hallways without prior approval.

Senate Rules Committee Chairman Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) claims that no new rules have been enacted and that they're working within the existing rule set, which doesn't actually forbid filming or audio recordings in the hallways, yet reporters are still being told they can't record. There's nothing stopping the senators for ignoring the reporters, they just don't want to be filmed coming from the meeting because they know it looks bad.

In other news, Sessions who pushed for maximum sentencing for drug related crimes, is now pushing for congress to let him prosecute medical marijuana providers in states where it's legal. Looks like someone is poised to gain some nice kickbacks from the for profit prisons he reinstated and the pharmaceutical industry.

That document became public yesterday.

This is the news article on it. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2017/06/13/jeff-sessions-personally-asked-congress-to-let-him-prosecute-medical-marijuana-providers/?utm_term=.5187bd6f2d61

What's that? Republicans are a train-wreck, aren't interested in governing, and are shitting all over every principle they claimed to be for while under Obama?

I'm shocked. Just shocked that they're trying to totally screw over everybody their donors want them to. This is totally unexpected!

As we see pot legalization favor tick up, pot legalization indifference tick up, and pot legalization opposition decline I just wonder how in the fuck this comes across as a good idea when the alt right has such a strong libertarian slice....

He is authoritarian no matter how you want to try to paint him.

Trump is not libertarian or alt-right nor does he give a shit about either.

That's fine, but this seems like a play out of session's book rather than Trump's. He's been (jeff) vocally anti pot for what? Decades? Trump's likely more in favor of the economy boost and state's right to choose on this issue if I had to guess. The closest thing he's come out in favor for (trump) is a vague gop tough on crime message.
