Obama was a far (incomprehensibly) better politician, of course he wasn't going to get caught in ridiculous situations like Trump has repeatedly found himself in.

But Democratic media covered up for his policy failures for years. The difference between Trump, Bush, and Obama is that Trump is fundamentally crass and unacceptable to the political class. That's why executive orders under Bush and Obama went through, and executive orders under Trump are tied up in courts trying to decide what the executive's "intent" behind the order was or is. People like Barr are fundamentally on the right side, trying to protect the Executive's legitimate authority. You don't get to decide that the president doesn't have certain powers because you dislike who the voters put in office.

Attorney General William Barr threw his Justice Department into turmoil this week as he seized control of cases tied to Donald Trump, risking a rebellion within the ranks, and publicly criticized the president amid accusations both men have politicized America’s top law enforcement agency.
In the span of five days, Barr revealed that he’s established a private channel for Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani to relay his allegations on Ukraine and ordered prosecutors to reduce their sentencing recommendation for Trump associate Roger Stone. News also surfaced that Barr has moved to review the prosecution of Michael Flynn, the president’s first national security adviser.

Cartoonish accusations like these are what is turning off moderates to the Dem ticket these days.
