No, homicide is a result of the desire to kill, an inanimate piece of metal does not alter a human being's state of mind into murder. I imagine your lack of logic is based on emotion in some way, that's probably why you dont have any grasp on logic. I would recomend that you reflect on why you have an irrational fear of guns before you continue to rant and rave. Maybe you shouldn't blindly believe whatever your political ideologues tell you to.

yes, but the guy with the baseball bat has to get close to you, while the guy with a gun doesnt. additionally, guy A beating guy B to death with a baseball bat includes zero risk of collateral damage for third parties.

Ow yes the planed executions will remain, even without guns.. But that's black and white thinking. There are more escalation due to owning guns and unintended murders with guns than planned executions.

Oh of course, I forgot, it's illegal to walk up to someone so a baseball bat couldnt be used as a weapon ever. And it's also perfectly safe to swing a baseball bat around wildly in a crowded place, you wouldnt hit anything by accident...

The point is that the world is very dynamic, the solution to ban or restrict guns is not, and is worthless.

You have a very naive view here.

If you cannot easily acquire the means to kill, you are less likely to kill. If you have to put extensive effort to carrying out the act (like with a baseball bat) you are less likely to kill. If you have the means to kill easily and in an impersonal way, you are more likely to kill.
